Etsy Findings #1

Hey everyone,
Today I'm going to be featuring some artists that create toys with their own hands. I went on Etsy, searched handmade toys and picked a few of my favorite shops.

This first featured shop has stolen my heart. Rjabinnik has the most beautifully hand crafted toys I have ever seen. I love everything about it all. The pieces are designed and created by a man and his wife. There's over 90 items to chose from in their shop, and once you order it, it get's made! She's designed it, he carves it, and we all love it. You can pick from season themed toys, gnomes, fairies, butterflies and angels. They're safe, adorable and sturdy. This is craftsmanship at it's best, in my opinion. Wooden toys are the way to go. They're going to stand up to pretty much anything, and you can hand them down to your grandkids, great grandkids and so on and so forth. This shop is based out of EU, so be patient when you order. Remember that each piece is made specifically for the purchaser, so it takes time. Time worth waiting for, when you get something as beautiful as the items in this shop.
Here's some links for the shop, and related shops:

Don't forget to favorite this shop, and your favorite items, to help get the word put about this shop, and all the others!!

The next featured is a shop called NuffNuffToys! Daniela Fernandez is from Punta Arenas, Chile. She's a 31 year old artist that makes felt toys. There's felt plushies in her shop for everyone! The sloth that's in her shop, melted my heart. She has Adventure Time, Star Wars and Horror movie themed plushies. She uses polyfill, felt and embroidery yarn. You can request for the plushies to be made into keychains, broaches, magnets or hair accessories! AHH!! I love it! Looking at these little guys, you would think she's been doing it for years, but her profile says she's only been doing it for three years! The prices are great, and she ships to the USA.
You can find Daniela on Tumblr, Flickr, and Facebook. Check out her Etsy shop here.

The next featured shop is Noialand! I love this shop so much! There's sewing patterns that get e-mailed to you in PDF form. They aren't just some boring ol' sewing patterns, though. They're sewing patterns for plushies!!! Noialand is full of adorable creatures, characters and critters. With over 100 patterns to choose from, and at a GREAT price, you can make pretty much anything you want! All you need is the simple patterns, the materials, and the want-to. These would make perfect little cuties to set around the house, cuddle or give as a gift. Noialand has sewing patterns for anything from owls, mermaids, fairies, gnomes, little people, holiday inspired and movie inspired. There's also free patterns on her blog! Here's a couple links to her free patterns:

Don't forget to favorite her shop on Etsy, and follow her blog!

These people work hard to create such beautiful and awesome work. Handmade isn't as hard to find as most people think. You just have to be willing to look for it. Etsy is a great avenue for that. You can find almost anything on there. If you can't find exactly what you want, there's always someone willing to make it for you.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, and will give these shops a look, and do some shopping and share the word!!
